Sexual Harassment, Non Discrimination, and Title IX Reporting Policies
The Office of the Vice President for Student Life shares responsibility for upholding policies concerning sexual harassment, non discrimination, and Title IX.
Strategic Initiatives
Student Life is involved with several initiatives that are outgrowths of our divisional strategic priorities and strategy map. Current projects include our assessment initiatives, LEAN process integration, the 2nd Year Experience Report, and Integrated Learning.
What is assessment? How do you do it? What do you do with the data that you’ve generated? The Assessment Blog has been created to help provide tools and information to student affairs professionals who are interested in building assessment into their work.
Telling Our Story
Over the past three years the Division of Student has identified several priorities, one of which was elevating divisional capacity for telling our story. A plan for a document emerged that would initiate the following: 1) integrate departmental priorities with the strategic priorities of the division (access, diversity, engagement, and care); 2) highlight key statistics and encourage the use of data in a compelling narrative; 3) draw attention to the power of marketing and communication not only to students, but also to other stakeholders inside and outside of Student Life.
The resulting documents are powerful embodiments of the work and spirit in Student Life. At a glance, it is clear that access, diversity, engagement, and care permeate throughout the division and are deeply embedded in the services, programs, and commitment to students and community. Each unit isĀ also able to clearly articulate new efficiencies over the last several years and the challenges and opportunities presented by the changing fiscal landscape, emerging student needs, and ongoing developments in related professional fields.
