Student Life provides non-academic services, support resources and opportunities for UW students. The 850 full-time and part-time staff, the 1,350 student staff and the 17 units within Student Life are committed to ensuring the success of our students personally and academically from the instant they think about applying for admission to the time they walk across the stage at Commencement and every moment in between and beyond.
As a central network for services and support, our main goal is to facilitate and promote Access, Diversity Engagement and Care directly to students, their families and the community in different ways and through tailored programs offered by each of our units.
Student Life complements the UW’s academic mission by enhancing the student experience and promoting the holistic growth of our students. We are dedicated to building a comprehensive learning community and providing powerful educational experiences while supporting staff and faculty in their work.
We provide opportunities to support the process of engagement, inquiry, discovery and growth to help ensure students are prepared intellectually and emotionally to meet the world after their time at the UW.
